In 1945 music lovers from Columbus and the surrounding area came together to form the "Friends of Music".  The mission of the association is to bring cultural enrichment to the community by providing concerts of exceptional quality with membership offerings at affordable prices.

Artists vary from classical piano, violin, wind ensemble, and voice to dance and musical comedy. The 6 concert series runs from September to the following May. It is a tradition to enjoy each season and to support music throughout the years.

Most concerts are held in the Nantkes Performing Arts Center which is a 1300+ seat auditorium.  It is handicap-accessible . . . Zero grade access from the street into the auditorium floor.  Several wheelchairs can be accommodated among the main floor's seating. You can find it at 2200 26th Street or via GPS on your smartphone or car. Occasionally, we will have a concert at the Columbus High School Concert Hall - 3434 Discoverer Drive.

In addition to the fabulous concerts here in Columbus, our reciprocity agreement with 5 other associations (Norfolk, Grand Island, Kearney, Fremont, and Yankton) allows season ticket holders to attend events in other cities for a small fee.

The legacy of bringing extraordinary performances to our community continues with your membership... $160 Family, $60 Adult and $30 Student.
