Organization Purpose

The Huron Area Concert Association was established in 1971.  We are located in Huron, South Dakota, home of the South Dakota State Fair.  Our mission is to cultivate interest in music, provide a variety of concerts and build a permanent concert audience.  We are proud to provide a variety of cultural experiences that are not normally available to smaller communities in a rural area.  We are honored to partner with Allied Concert Services and enjoy a friendly reciprocity agreement with the concert associations in Mitchell and Pierre.  Our audience members reach across nearly 20 counties in eastern South Dakota. And we are tremendously appreciative of our many volunteer partners who continue to give of their time and talent by selling memberships and assisting at concert events.

Huron Area Concert Association is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization registered with the State of South Dakota.  Our primary support comes in large part, and with much appreciation, from our many faithful season membership patrons and generous contributions from our many friends and business partners.  The Huron Community Foundation has also been very generous and we thank them for their support.  Our hosts at Huron High School and James Valley Christian School have been most gracious in allowing us to utilize their fine auditorium, along with their capable staff.
