Norfolk Area Jazz Ensemble

The Northeast Area Jazz Ensemble (or NAJE) is a group of volunteer musicians dedicated to the promotion of jazz and big band music. NAJE performs a variety of jazz styles including Samba, Bossa, Funk and Big Band Swing. Their repertoire includes such swing classics as In the Mood, Begin the Beguine, and I’ve Got You Under My Skin; as well as more “modern” classics from the 60’s by big bands such as Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, and Count Basie.
