2020-2021 Season Update

Please take notice that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has become necessary to cancel and postpone our concerts for this 2020-21 Season.  This decision is based upon action taken by Allied Concert Services (through whom our Concert Association books it's concerts) to postpone all of its concerts until the 2021-22 Season.  Also this decision is based upon the fact that the availability of our venue - the Performing Arts Center in Delta – cannot be assured through the balance of this season.

Until recently we were holding out hope that our winter/spring 2021 season could go forward. However, given the present trending COVID-19 upsurge,  we have concluded, in an abundance of caution, that we must suspend our current concerts and reschedule them for the 2021-22 Season (from September 2021 to April or May 2022).  This is necessary to protect the health of both those who attend the concerts and the performing artists.

At this time, we do not have specific dates as to when the various concerts will be rescheduled, but said dates will be posted to this website as soon as they are available.  Also, it is our Board's position and policy that paid memberships for the 2020-21 Season will be transferred to apply to the 2021-22 Season.

For seven decades the Association has brought to the residents of Delta and Montrose Counties nationally recognized performers who are normally found in larger cities.  These programs have included a wide range of vocal and instrumental talents  - from classical, operatic and ballet to folk singers, boys’ choirs and dancers, to Broadway, Dixieland and comedy acts.  A sampling includes: the Texas Boys’ Choir, Four Freshmen, Irish Light Orchestra of Dublin, Dizzy Gillespie, Roger Wagner Chorale, New Christy Minstrels, and more recently the Church Basement Ladies, Work of the Weavers, The Limeliters, Russian Dancers, Riders in the Sky, and J. Mark McVey.  The programs generally include not only musical numbers, but often treats for the audience by way of the visual delight of bright costumes, education about unusual instruments and the performers’ humorous interaction with the audience – all in all which make for enjoyable evenings of entertainment.

Organizational Purpose
