For more than 60 years, The Delta-Montrose Community Concert Association has been providing a wide variety of nationally recognized entertainment to the residents of Delta and Montrose Counties.  Established in 1948 to bring to our rural areas cultural experiences commonly found in larger cities, our Association has booked programs – both vocal and instrumental - from classical, operatic and ballet to folk singers, boys’ choirs and dancers, to Broadway, Dixie-land and comedy acts.  A sampling includes: the Texas Boys’ Choir, Four Freshmen, Irish Light Orchestra of Dublin, Dizzy Gillespie, Roger Wagner Chorale, New Christy Minstrels, and more recently the Church Basement Ladies, Work of the Weavers, Russian Dancers and Riders in the Sky.  The programs generally include not only musical entertainment but often treats for the audience by way of the visual delight of bright costumes, education about unusual instruments and the performers’ humorous interaction with the audience – all in all which make for enjoyable evenings of entertainment.
