This 2023-24 Season marks the 75th Anniversary of the formation of our Association.  For the past three-quarters of a century, the residents of Delta and Montrose Counties, and beyond, have enjoyed a wide variety of high quality, professional concerts representing many genres of music, examples of which are listed below.

We hope to make this 75th Season a special one, by not only providing an extra concert by local talent, but also by hosting at least one reception, and perhaps two, which will allow the audience to meet the artists and also permits us the opportunity to recognize some folks who have contributed to the enduring success of the Association.  Its objective has been to bring to our rural area, nationally recognized performers with a wide range of vocal and instrumental talents.  Without the Association’s efforts, these personalities would likely be available only to those living in metropolitan areas.

In addition to the exciting concerts scheduled for the 2023-24 Season, a small sampling of performers we have featured in the past include: in the 1950s & 60s: Vienna Academy Chorus, Belafonte Folk Singers; 1970s & 80s: Dizzy Gillespie, Four Freshman, Irish Light Orchestra of Dublin; 1990s: New Christy Minstrels; and since 2000: Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats, Work ‘O the Weavers, Church Basement Ladies, Riders in the Sky, Rodney Mack Philadelphia Big Brass, The Limelighters, Sons of the Pioneers, and the Jersey Tenors.

All of our programs generally include not only musical numbers, but other treats for the audience by way of the visual delight of bright costumes, education about unusual instruments and the performers’ humorous interaction with the audience – all in all, which makes for an enjoyable evening of entertainment.
