In 1965, a small group of artistic leaders from Thief River Falls formed the Thief River Falls Concert Association to culturally enrich entertainment opportunities for the community and surrounding area. The goal is to provide a variety of high-quality acts across the spectrum, from classical styles, to rock and roll, to folk, to country, and feature strings, brass, piano, rhythm, dance, ethnic diversity, or whatever may provide a new, unique, and meaningful experience for our members. An additional goal is to provide artists that will workshop with local students for inclusion in the presentation. To celebrate our fiftieth anniversary year in 2015, six concerts were offered rather than the usual five.

Volunteer board members select the performers each year. They also contact business owners each year for contributions and, as patrons, their business names and support level categories are published in the program brochure that is placed in the hands of those in attendance five times during the year. We are also supported by a membership of roughly 800 -- which almost fills the auditorium -- and sustained by an investment account for flexibility in concert selection.

New board members are always welcome and needed and are our best resource for continuing the association. If you are interested in serving, contact President Edie Brandli, 218-681-6297.
